Open Question: How can I stop a drainage leak with corroded metal drainage pipes.?My cleanout for the washer is leaking I replaced the cap and used teflon tape but it is still leaking a little bit. Where the cap screws on the piping is corroded and stipped. The problem is its one inch in the brick wall and can not replace the metal pipe with out knocking brick out. Should I use plumbers putty or is there any type of adhesive to stop the leak.
