Its unsealed, 'naked' wood basically. I want to varnish it. Should I seal it with an oil first and then varnish it? I want to take care of it and make it last. My wife and I were both comfortable. Well we got our gas bill back, $220. I don't think our walls are insulated at all in the house so we're insulating the attic this weekend, already installed a programmable thermostat (we used to have an old round Honeywell thermostat), and bought a ceramic heater for our living room. We lowered it to 58, is this bad for a house? For us? We live in Ohio, and last month was COLD. Probably only going to get worse. Is there anything else we can do? Open Question: Temp problems with Architeckt Linear Exposed Thermostatic Bar Shower PWD 1238?Can anyone tell me if I can get a replacement cartridge for the above shower and if so where from? It is not getting very hot at all. Only way I can get a decent temp is to run the cold tap in the sink at the same time. Cant think what else it could be apart from cartridge.
