I have done some work to my house and went through the proper channels (architect, engineer) as i was knocking down a load bearing wall and need a lot of work done to the house. Basically to cut a very long story short I had the council out to approve and he has asked for further work to be done. I cant afford for further work to be done and don't know what to do. I have done everything that the plans said from the architect and the house is secure its just things like putting in extractor in toilets. Can i advise the council of this and tell them i will be in contact once i have the money and can complete the work? Please help as this is turning into a nightmare and i feel as if i should have done the work and not went through the proper channels.
