Open Question: big steel drum grill?my step father bought a big steel drum grill it has steel sheets (very thin) that go inbetween the flame and the food (closer to the flame) with that there the food will not cook, it does not get hot enough????? please help... what should we do Open Question: Fire pit on a cement patio..HELP!?I just purchased a house and i am interested in building a fire pit on my patio. BUT i have some questions. The patio is just off the south end of my garage. My yard slopes down, so the patio is about 5 feet thick of concrete. Its fairly large, so a fire pit will fit nicely. Anyway, can i just build a cylinder out of brick/rock (whatever i decide) or do i have to actually dig some sort of a hole first? I've seen a ton of fire pits in the ground in like a barrel. Anyways you catch my drift. Let me know. Thanks in advance! :) Open Question: Is it possible to connect pieces of plywood to make one large panel?I am an artist and I am trying to build large art panels. Since I am limited to size of the plywood, is it possible to but the two pieces together and fill the seams with wood filler? The back of the entire panel will be braced to prevent warping. I am not sure if this is sturdy or not. I don't ever want that seam to be visible. Yes, T & G would work better but I need to use Baltic Birch because that is what is strong enough to resist warping. I am not sure they make T&G of baltic birch Open Question: open ended help neede don concepts for things i am going to build?I have got a book on how to create an arcade from scratch and I am getting a book on how to turn a old game systems into handheld. I am doing this for three reason. one to make 5 things for me and family. two. to start a business making suit case arcades and three well I want to be more successful. basically i got two questions but feel free to help me in any way. 1. is there anything I can add to the following concepts/ gifts I am going to make. suit case art or anything. any ideas or anything. a.kunoichi rumble suit case arcade. basically take mugen and fill it with female characters and change the theme to a kunoichi one. b. turn my dads favorite game ssn into a suit case he can carry around with him with submarine like controls .c. give an old school arcade in a suit case to my cousin john .d. make the worlds first rpg arcade. yep in a suit case with games like final fantasy and disgaea e. make a portable hand held Atari for my ant Dian. p.s. another reason I am doing this is so that I can get qualified and start a business making custom consoles to sell.
