Open Question: Dwang/Noggins on walls.......further explanation needed? and more... Open Question: Dwang/Noggins on walls.......further explanation needed?(I asked about dwangs/noggins a few days ago and got some helpful answers, but I don't know what the finished item looks like). It seems that these are used to stop floor joists and wall joists twisting and to set the correct spacing. But they have another function and that is:- with walls the floorboards are attached to the noggins/dwangs and on walls plasterboards are attached. Can anyone confirm that that is basically correct....and I would really like to see a photo of a wall with the dwangs/noggins in place just before the plasterboards are attached...I have done few searches but can't find anything -can anyone point me towards a link? Open Question: Fancy fasteners...I'm going to put some beading/rails up my stairs to hide the?uneven line where the staircase joins the wall. I'm going to put it on so it can be removed as it will make redecorating in the future so much easier. What fixings will look neat in your opinion??????
