Open Question: Hard wood maple flooring...wax? and more... Open Question: Hard wood maple flooring...wax?We just put down a finished maple floor. 4 inch slats. (Bellawood) We've been told to put a coat of wax to protect it from our two 100lb dogs. I've never had wood floors before and have no idea if this is even a good idea or if it will work. Should I do this? What kind, how often and how much would I use? Thanks! Open Question: Painting MDF with Spary paint?I have built a computer desk using MDF and have painted it with a primer and undercoat and now want to paint it black. Open Question: The " Staining oak cabinet " NIGHTMARE!! Help!!!!?I've been trying to stain new unfinished oak cabinetry. Its looking terrible. I sanded first. I've tried brushing on the stain, rubbing on the stain with cotton cloth, and the paint on/rub off method. Nothing is working right. The cabinets are turning out splotchy and uneven. 40 hours into this project and I'm losing my freaking mind. I'm seriously considering just painting the stupid cabinets. What should I do?
