Open Question: How far can you run a natural gas line?Plan on hiring a professional is this is doable, but want to know if it's doable first. Main natural gas line that comes into house is 1/2 inch as soon as it enters house. Pressure regulator is about 4 from current appliances (furance and water heater). Would it be possible to add another tee at end of manifold (right after pressure) regulator and run a line (or two) a additional 17 feet? I have calculated the btu's and I know I'm good there. Just not sure if there will be enough pressure. If there is not enough pressure can it be turned up without harming the other applicances that are 4 feet away? I have visions of a beatiful fireplace in my head right now. Please advise, thanks!
