Open Question: How to remove sticky stuff..? and more... Open Question: How to remove sticky stuff..?Okay so we have a GPS and it came with this circular sticky thing that obviously goes on the dashboard because the another attachment was supposed to be for the window... Anyways, my friend attached the circular adhesive thing to the windshield and oh my goodness.. it's literally stuck.. How in the world do I remove this? It's a circular flat object and I would need something flat to try and pry it away from the windshield... (I hope someone knows what I'm talking about it comes with the GPS box).. :) Open Question: Is it really worth sealing your pressure treated deck and fence? My thought process is: I have 14 x 20 deck with approx 400 foot of board on board fence with pressure treated 1x6's. Say it takes me about 12 hours 25 gallons at approx. $43.00 per 6 gallon can, and about $40.00 worth of supplies. About $300.00 and 12 hours a year or lets say every 2 years. That will buy me about 6 more years to the life of the fence. I am just guessing using a sealer will give you 6 more years for the fence. So if I don't stain it, my fence will last about 14 years. If I do stain it will last me: 14+6=20 years. Lets say I will get 24 years out of it. 24/ every 2 years of sealing = 12 times. 12X$300.00=3600.00 +12 hours x 12 times = 144 hours. So basically I will spend 144 hours and $3600.00 to seal my fence and hopefully get 24 years rather than 14. Seems to me that logically speaking: all that time and money. I can just not seal it and after about 14 years get myself a new fence which will look a lot better, that sealing an old fence. The fence $5500.00. I can take the approx $3600 and put towards the new fence. Any thoughts. And any body have any idea how much life you can get from using a sealer?
