Open Question: Need advice resealing a bath?im trying to reseal the bath as it leaks .. it looks as though the bath was [put in first then tiled but a skirting type thing covers the seal area, and the tiles are covering the top aspect. how is the best way to reseal it? i scraped out all the rubber sealant as it was all mildewed and lifted. Unsure Open Question: Can I power up 12Watt bulb using 12Watt solar panel power?I am confused. I am planning to build a simple 12Watt solar system to power some lights in my house. 1. I wonder if it is possible to power up a 12Watt bulb using 12Watt solar power? 2. Normally, when we are reading the power rating of a bulb, we will read the wattage, so what about the voltage and current rating? 3. If the current is insufficient, will the bulb light up? I am having a solar panel that can output 12W power but I am not sure about the output voltage, how can I find out about the current? I am getting really confused. Open Question: Using snake for clog. After 6 feets, it cannot go further.?No matter how I rotate it, it cannot go further. It seems it reaches some hard part. What could be the reason for that? Thanks - Open Question: Need a little help with oil furnace?I ran out of oil in our tank over the weekend, but am getting it refilled today. I am running home at lunch to turn our furnace back on, but have realized there may be more to it. Apparently, I have to bleed the lines. I know that if I have 2 lines coming in, that I should just hit the reset button on the furnace and it should bleed itself. However, if I have one, I know I need to bleed the line manually. I have located the valve and know I have to open it. But what is the process exactly? Do I hit the reset button, then loosen the valve, wait for a steady stream of oil and then tighten it back up? Is this going to spray everywhere or can I just set a jar under the valve? Please let me know. I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks! Open Question: Are dado joints difficult to cut?Are dado joints difficult to cut? I don't really have much woodwork experience (outside of 8th grade shop) and I want to build a built-in bookcase with dado joints. Any tips on how to do this easily? I have a router but i'm not sure exactly how to set up a guide to make a straight cut into the wood. I think that making the cuts so that the shelves line up might be a bit difficult as well.
