Open Question: Should I permanently patch this or use a cover?

I removed wallpaper in my living room and found this hole in the wall that appears to be a wire access point of some sort. It was just there, under the wallpaper. I am not sure if I should patch the wall completely before I paint or should I leave this and use a cover instead? I have enough plugs and this room was not an addition. http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy59/pmcnallyma/Links/Wireaccessinwall.jpg Please advise.

Open Question: How Much Of the Brass Ball Valve Do I Need To Replace?

The brass ball valve of our immersion heater tank is dripping every second or so, despite the orange ball meeting the water level. This is resulting in the overflow kicking in. Do I have to replace the entire arm, or is it possible to change just the valve itself? Many thanks.

Open Question: What sort of drill bit should I use to drill into a banquet table with a polyethylene Resin top?

I would like to install a riser (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/287512-REG/O_C_White_14100_B_Standard_12_inch_Microphone_Riser.html) or mounting bracket into my banquet table with a polyethylene Resin surface. Is this a plausible idea, and what sort of drill bit should I use?
