Open Question: Wallpaper Stripping Help Wanted? and more... Open Question: Wallpaper Stripping Help Wanted?Hi all, Just wondering if anyone out there can help with a wallpaper stripping problem that I am having... I am stripping my wallpaper in my living room, but are having a hard job removing some of the paper. I bought a decent wallpaper steamer, to which it works really well, but in my room I have two different types of paper hung, top half and bottom half. The top half came off really easy with using the steamer and a scraper, but the bottom half is not so easy. It doesnt peel off as well as the top, I have scored the paper, steamed it several times, but once I start to scrape it, it just comes off in small pieces, and would take me ages to do the whole room. Does anyone know of a technique or some other method that I could use to remove the lower paper? Thanks Open Question: cmoy headphone amp power supply?this is the first time im hooking up the power supply to this project and was wondering what i need to solder the battery pack wires to and the led wires to i know what holes they go in just not what to solder them to i know this should be simple but this is the first time i have done this so please don't be a jerk and say if u don't know don't do it or something to that effect just let me know were to solder them thanks Open Question: How to properly dry a shampooed carpet?Ive never shampooed a carpet before, I know how to and everything, so that's not the problem. Im just wondering what the proper or best way to dry the soggy carpet afterwords would be. Would it be a good idea to just crank up the heat? Or should I open the windows and bring out some fans?? Any tips would help. Thanks! Open Question: Why is polyurethane making my stain lighter?I stained a toy box a red oak color. I just put on a coat of polyurethane and it appears to be "eating" the stain and making it lighter. Why is it doing this and will it dry differently? I stained it last weekend so it has been drying for a week! Open Question: I am making a play area for my 6 month old. We have tile flooring downstairs where we spend most of our time?I am looking for extra soft flooring that I can put in the play area so when she falls she doesn't get hurt. I already have an ABC mat, the traditional foam mats for a play area. I don't trust it by itself because she has fallien straight back on it and hit her head and started crying. She doesn't cry for much, so I'm assuming the regular play mat on the tile floor isn't enough cushion. I live in the Tampa, FL so if anyone knows of any flooring stores that I could go to that would be awesome. If not, any websites where I can get soft flooring would be great. I think I'm looking for something at least an inch thick. Any suggestions or advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. More Recent Articles
