The timer goes through the cycle like normal but the only functions that work is that it fills and drains. The belt is good and the indicator light on the motor says that it is in normal standby. Open Question: installing wood laminate flooring on second level of home?We currently have carpet on our stairs and second level. we would like to put in laminate in our upstairs. my husband says that our floor is slightly unlevel and that we would not be able to unless we have it leveled. any one know if that is the case? also what would anyone recommend for our stairs? can you put laminate on stairs? Under the carpet, the stairs are wood, but not a nice finished wood. keeping the current carpet on the stairs is not an option if we decide to go ahead with the laminate as it is old and worn. my husband is planning on installing the flooring himself. Open Question: I have a Kenmore stove that the oven and broiler are not heating up. It sounds like its running....but not?the stove top still works. I hear a clicking sound like its heating up but the coils never get hot.. This is an electric stove. Open Question: How to successfully drill a screw into wood? (plywood & 2x4)?Forgive me: I'm a little stupid about these things, but I'm so frustrated I'm about to cry! :,( I'm building an ice rink all by myself.. I've never done this type of thing before. I've already bolted together 28 pieces of 8 foot plywood, but I've decided I need to add T-braces to the plywood to prevent leaning. I have my t braces, I have my ridiculously expensive metal connectors, I have a drill, and I have my 3/4"screws. It took me just a couple of days to cut, paint & bolt together the frame, but these *(&^ screws are my undoing! It takes me literally 20 minutes of very frustrating, wobbly fussing to get each one in. I have hundreds to do. The drill does not stay flush on the screw once it starts turning. If I put pressure to push the turning screw into the wood it falls over. If I don't put pressure it just spins around without making any progress. I tried holding it, but hurt my fingers (duh). At this rate it will be summer by the time this is finished! There has to be an easier way. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any advice. Open Question: Can you run a welder (Lincoln sp-175t) on dryer NEMA 10-30R receptacle? My welder (Lincoln sp-175t) has a rated input of 20A at 230V, so the dryer outlet should be able to handle this. The dryer receptacle is a NEMA 10-30R (3-prong 125/250V 30A), which has two hots and a neutral. This is standard for older dryers. I read that the neutral return can be used as a ground for the welder because the neutral is connected to ground at the panel (I will verify this). On newer 4-prong hookups the extra ground has been added by code for keeping the ground and neutral separate on devices for safety, so there is a non-current bearing reference. Does this sound correct so that I will be able to operate my welder off the dryer outlet? Open Question: Can I buy JUST the SunPower 300 Watt panels without being required to use the installer I bought them from?I have been looking everywhere (web retailers, ebay, amazon, etc.) trying to buy SunPower panels but the only places I seem to find are the "Premier Dealers", and they force you to have that dealer install the panel and therefore you can't buy just the panel... Can anyone help me with this? I am only looking for the 300 Watt or greater panels... Open Question: help with bathroom remodel?we're about to re-do our bathroom from scratch and we're debating on a tub. we have a 6'x8' room and we're needed to do a tub/shower combo. is it possible to do a drop-in style tub with a shower, or does it have to be the alcove style? thanks! what exactly is the difference between drop-in and alcove? its a 1 level house and we've actually gutted out the hallway and knocked down a wall to make it this size, it was previously 6'x6' and STILL had all the fixtures, just extremly cramped. we cant make it any bigger unfortionatly, but its a 3 bed/2FB home so we're just trying to improve it the best we can. Open Question: How can I hang a mirror on top of another mirror? Is spray adhesive clear? How strong is it? We have a mirror in our bathroom that was attached using something that leaked through and we have a big "x" stain basically in our mirror (from the previous owners).
