Open Question: Can PVC pipe be embedded in concrete? While digging a foundation for a fire place we are adding to our existing home, we ran into, suprise! the sewer line for the house. Gak. Called around to the mason and the contractor, who said they see pvc in concrete often, and that it should be okay pour the foundation and embed the line under the concrete. About 6 feet of the pipe would be embedded. This isn't sitting well with me. I've done other searches on the internet. There's not a lot of info about this out there. Some say no good, some say wrap the pipe with rubber sheeting, some say reroute the line... I'd like to draw from other's experiences. We are talking...embedded a concrete slab 3 feet thick. I'm concerned about expansion and cracking. Should the pipe be wrapped in something? Thanks for answers. Mike G...thanks for input. Asking here is a starting point. Here in rural Arkansas, I'm not certain there is a *code*, to be honest.... Open Question: What size of rcd do I need for a 9.5kw shower with 10mm cable?More Recent Articles
