Open Question: how old do you need to be to work on a building site in northern ireland?i no you need a safepass but im not sure how old you have to be im 17 now im just wondering if you need to be 18 Open Question: Looking for a breathable-waterproof sheet/fabric/material?I have a little piece of, something (it looks papery, feels plasticy) material that is breathable, but waterproof. It also looks like its woven together. I don't know what it is, but I need some more! If I hold it to my mouth, I can breath - and feel my breath come out the other side quite easily, but it does not let water through. I saw a polypropylene bag on ebay, and the material 'looked' right, but when I got it, it feels thinner and does not let air through. I don't need this for clothes or anything, I can happily chop bits off other things. If anyone has any ideas of what I could use, and where I can get it from (I'm the UK) I'd really appreciate! Open Question: Replacing a manual thermostat?I have a Honeywell programmable timer next to my boiler. A few rooms away is manual thermostat used to control the temperature of the heating. I want to replace both the thermostat (because theres no temperature markings on it), and the timer (because it only allows 2 on/off a day, and I want more flexibility) I like the HeatMiser range of products, but Im confused about which of their products I need Do I just buy a non-programmable thermostat, and then see if they do a programmable timer which doesn't have a thermostat built in? Also they sell a programmable timer and thermostat in one device, which sounds good because you can set the temperature to change at different times automatically. But the room where my boiler and timer is, gets quite cold (I dont go in there much, so its ok). I guess this wouldn't be the best place to put a thermostat controlling the rest of the house though?
