Simple answers are fine.?Hi, I have an old guitar that was my number one until a tire bounced against it on the front and separated the neck from the body. There was a slight cracking noise. After nearly crying I got to trying to fix it and realized the neck has about an 1/8" give back and forth and about 1/4" give left and right. The block of wood behind it (inside the body) gives with it. When the truss rod is tightened very tight there is still a little give like it's loose. I really don't need a professional status fix. Just something that will make the guitar play. I'm ok with a little sound loss. It's mostly a sentimental piece and the character of the fix is apart of it's story.
