Ok so i have taken down my rose fixture to replace it with an ikea 3 light barnow it wont turn off?I can't figure out how to wire it. There are 3 Red Wires 3 Black wires and 3 green/ yellow wires. Theres three connections in the light for live, earth and neutral. How do i wire it because i put them all in there seperate ones and it wouldnt turn off. Open Question: Does anyone have installation manual or manufacturer specs for a Peacock wood stove?My wife and I bought a Peacock wood stove and we cannot install it until we can provide the above referenced info to the city inspector. This stove was made in Baldwin, MI and we have contacted the manufacturer directly, but they no longer make the stoves, and do not have any info on them anymore. We have also contacted dealers across the state, and they have no such info either. Does anyone out there have this information? Open Question: Need help about rebuilding cornish hedging onto a road?Need help about rebuilding cornish hedging onto a road? hi, i need to rebuild a cornish hedge one side facing a road as its falling down but the main problem (i can rebuild it) is theres a few 20 trees (blackthorn) and obviously the roots will be well established. what i need (preferably with a link) is to know the laws on rebuilding it (only 2ft of the road side needs doing, the others in a field) and what would happen to the root system, will it damage the road surface as it decays etc if you didn't get it, im in the uk! 10 points to most descriptive/and helpful! Open Question: Alternative ways to keep wheelbarrow tire inflated.?Every time I go to use the wheelbarrow after sitting around for ages the tire needs pumping up. Anyone know if that foam inflation stuff would last long term. Open Question: Plain bedroom white wall ideas?Im almost 15 years old and just took down a whole bunch of posters that covered one of the walls in my bedroom. But now i am left with a bare white wall, that dosent look to snazzy. I need some creative ideas on how to decorate it other than with posters. The cheaper the better please:) One idea was to write a whole bunch of memories from my life that make me smile on index cards and scatter them randomly on the wall - SMILE WALL:) Ideas are greatly appeciated, thanks. Open Question: Handy men/women help me out with these home projects?My husband and I just bought our 1st house, and while we got a heck of a deal, it was foreclosed on so there are LOTS of little things that need doing and I'd like advice on the best way to go about them. 1. The bathroom floor tiles are AWFUL! I have scrubbed between them with bleach and a grout brush and that's good for now, but eventually they will need replacing. The 1 thing that bugs me about them in the meantime is that there is a spot on the white tile that looks like poop (LITERALLY) was SMEARED on it. I can't wipe it off because it appears to be concrete -- anything I can do to get this up? 2. The stairs. Someone had the bright idea that they would paint the stairs a goldish-yellow instead of leaving them natural wood. It's horribly ugly, and the stairs looks SO DIRTY no matter how many times I wash them. Our entire house is beautiful hard wood, but I'm not sure if the stairs are a high quality wood or not. Should I just take the paint up and see, or is there a better way to go about this? I hate the stairs the way they are -- should I just paint them a different color, or remove the paint? Thanks!
