Open Question: ISE vs Waste King Motors (Induction vs. Permanent Magnet Motor) What is the difference?I have been shopping for a replacement garbage disposal for my kitchen. Right now I am leaning towards the Waste King Legend 2600 since it is inexpensive on Amazon.com and it is the cheapest model that is equipped with stainless steel grind ring, turntable, and impellers. I am wondering if I should reconsider the choice for an ISE Evolution series due to motor type. I know usually induction motors do not have commutator brushes/rings. However, I am not sure about the Waste King's "Vortex" permanent magnet motor. I have learned about it's torque characteristics under physical load, however I am not sure about the motor's reliability. What is a "Vortex" permanent magnet motor? Is it a type of motor that uses commutator brushes/rings? How long can I expect the motor to last? Open Question: how far does a plug socket have to be from a kithen sink ?ive just had builders fit a new kitchen but im a bit worried that someone can put there hand under the sink tap and put a plug in at the same time with there other hand,without thinking. Open Question: Transition from stained crown molding to painted?I have ceiling height kitchen cabinets in my kitchen. After the final cabinet, I'm not sure how to transition to the crown molding on the wall. I'm contemplating using a different type of crown molding painted white on the walls adjacent to the kitchen cabinets. How should I gracefully make the transition between the two types of molding? Open Question: Electrical Question on single pole light and 6 recessed lights?I have the power coming into the first light, then to all the rest of the lights and it ends at the switch. I have tried several things and have not found one that works. The first light has the black connected to the white going to the next light and all of the white are wired together. Then the blacks jump from light wire to light wire. Then both the black and white go to the switch. This does not work for me, anyone got a suggestion? Wish I could draw a picture in here.
