Open Question: How can I adjust my toilet flush? and more... Open Question: How can I adjust my toilet flush?I just replaced a flush lever and flap. Now, I am testing it out. I've noticed that when I pushed down a lever, I had to be holding on to it and wait until it flushes completely. Before, I did not have to do this. One push, let it go, the toilet flushed fast. Please help me make an adjustment. The lever is located on the left side of the tank. (Not front). The Toilet Lever bar part that goes inside the tank is only 4". The bar does not go all the way to directly top of the flap. If I loosen the chain, it will not flush, if I make it tight, the flap will hang open. :- ( Open Question: Which kind of paint is better to use on compressed lamimated wood?I am trying to paint some furniture at home, but im having problems... The furniture is that compressed laminated wood stuff, like the walmart furniture is made of. i bought some paint and i am not sure which kind it is because the label came off while they were mixing it. i sanded the crap out of a piece and the paint still wouldnt really hold. had to do layer after layer and its still splotchy. so do you think latex or oil bsed paint would work best? or something else? (the real price is 19.99 but since i'm not the average idiotic easy to manipulate american all those 99's don't really make the price seem cheaper.) it's all i can afford, but will it work? also, the closet isn't exactly the best place to record, it has one cement wall, a matress(that i'm using as another wall) and the other two are drywall. the floor is cement and the ceiling is just like the roof in an unfinished basement. i'm already broke from the mic and headphones, but will the closet work? They have rounded edges though cause they're supposed to be like mouse pads to this wooden laptop lap desk thing. LOL. The guy sells these scraps for whatever purpose you sole desire. Anyway I'd like to make some ornaments, boxes, lanterns, or something neat or useful but I'm not sure if these are the right size for those kind of projects.
