Open Question: Paver Patio Perimeter?

Hi, I'm in the process of planning a Paver Patio/Walkway project this spring and I could use some advice. I'm planning on using 4" of crushed limestone, then 1" of sand, but the problem is that it will be partially above grade. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can use as a border/perimeter that will stay intact? The pavers are roughly 18" square by 1 1/2". And thanks!

Open Question: Could anyone reccomend any good protective work gear?

I've just been assigned a conditional place at East Durham's Houghall campus to study a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management which I'm very excited about! The woman I was talking to was telling me of the kit I'm going to need for the course (providing I definitely get in, which I have to wait until August to find out). The kit I'm going to need is obviously going to have to be well made as I'm going to be working outdoor in all weathers with animals from rabbits > dogs > farm animals. I need: A pair of steel toe cap boots. Overalls/Boilersuit. Wellies (I have a pair of Hunters so this is fine) A warm coat (Im thinking of getting a Barbour) A hat, scarf and gloves. Thermal underlays etc And possibly a Gilet/Bodywarmer. If anyone can advise any good suppliers/brands I'll be grateful. It's just to give me an idea of the sort of thing/amount of money I'll be spending. Thanks!

I am building a 2 story house out of concrete block in the phillipines. I dont trust their building standards so I want to use specs from the USA. To span 25 feet what kind of concrete beam/rebar do I need to support the second floor? (generally) and is the slab for the second floor 4 inches or 6 inches?
