I just finished soundproofing my apartment since I have a sun conure now and I can't help but wonder why they don't soundproof while building? Wouldn't that keep noise complaints down?

Open Question: Can I have coxial cable installed and not seen?

I just bought a home. It has no pre-existing cable or outlets on the walls. I want the cable to be hidden from veiw. Also it is a 2 story house, can I run it down through the walls to the basement? Then from the basement, have them split? I really want to do this myself, and try and save $$$$.
