Open Question: what is the best material to reduce sound from a wall register?Open Question: My kitchen sink and toilet are backing up in to my shower, Ive used a snake but no results.?Every time i wash my dishes the water comes up in to the shower, when i flush the toilet, the water goes in to the shower, i have had a plumber here for over 7 hours, He has snaked it trough the roof. We cant find any sewage drain outs, what am i supposed to do now? Open Question: This site that sells heat applied graphics says not to use home irons.?http://www.proworldinc.com/no_iron.aspx Do you think they're being truthful or just trying to sell their own presses. Do you think I could actually use a home iron on their graphics? Open Question: Sanding Sealer? bleach spots and random wood- I need help!?I am refinishing my floors and plan to sand it all down to bare wood. My problem is that I have a few bleached spots around the floor and am not sure what type of wood was put in the kitchen (my floors are a red oak and have no idea who installed the hardwood for the kitchen- it might be a white oak) so i might have to stain the bleached spots to match and possibly the kitchen. I won't really know until i've sanded it all down. I don't what's the best way to go about this. The guy at home depot recommended that I use a sanding sealer before putting down a poly coat but everywhere I have read, they only use it for cabinets and furniture. Also, I cannot put a stain over the sanding sealer. so my plan as of now is to sand down the floor back to the bare wood and cross my fingers that i do not have to stain anything. The sanding sealer is recommended because it completely seals the wood before putting down a coat of poly. Do i need to seal the wood before Poly? Is it okay if I stain the parts i need to, and leave bits of bare wood and just start putting down a coat satin poly? or if anyone has a recommendation for my situation.. i will send you good karma thoughts! thanks More Recent Articles |
