Open Question: gugrling toilet, please help!?

i've receintly noticed that when i come home from work, both of my toilets (same floor) had no water in them. Then yesterday while i'm inthe shower and have the washer running, i hear my toilet start gurgling, i look at it and there are air bubbles rising out of the bottom of the bowel. i have two vents on my roof, and its my understanding that that could be thr problem. any ideas?? i live in MI and have a ton of snow on the ground, so digging up the lid for my septic isn't really an option right now. HELP PLEASE!! thanks so much!! i'm going to have to wait a smidge to climb up there. there's snow and its slippery i'm sure. not to mention my husband is currently overseas so i'm going to need to enlist the aid of a neighbor or two
