Open Question: I have a old Zanussi Washing Machine I am renovating (Zanussi Z1000S - bought from Curry's?)?

I want to renew the motor brushes - How can I tell whether the motor (which drives the drum) is Brush or Induction? Looking at it assembled, I can't see where the commutator is....I don't want to strip it down to find there are no brushes!

Open Question: How can I temporarily soundproof my walls for a party?

I'm having a 21st birthday party where my friend will be DJing some nasty dubstep. As that has a huge amount of bass and noise, what can I do to temporarily soundproof the walls of my house so that nearby neighbors will not be greatly disturbed by the noise? Thanks :) PS. Yes they have been informed, Yes I live in a single family home, and you should not be able to hear the music from 25 feet away.
